Using this website

You should be able to navigate the site using a keyboard, enlarge the text, use a screen reader and view the pages on a phone or narrow screen without losing information.

The pages use structured headings, descriptive link text, visible keyboard focus, alternative text for meaningful images and reduced motion when your device requests it.

Compliance status

This website is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA. Following a self-assessment on 26 September 2026, no known WCAG 2.2 AA failures remain on the pages managed as part of this website.

This is Neil Bentley’s personal website. Its Councillor section also signposts residents to relevant public services and reporting routes.

What has been tested

The review covered the homepage, About Me, Councillor Neil Bentley and Privacy Policy pages. Checks included keyboard navigation, focus visibility, colour contrast, headings and landmarks, image descriptions, link names, mobile reflow, target sizes and reduced-motion support.

Accessibility is an ongoing process. The site will be checked again when its structure or interactive features change.

External services

This website links to services run by other organisations, including Shropshire Council, parish councils, FixMyStreet, West Mercia Police and social media platforms. I do not control the accessibility of those external websites, but I welcome reports about any link or route that creates a barrier.

If you cannot access any part of this website, need information in a different format or want to report an accessibility problem, email office@neilbentley.co.uk.

Please say which page you were using and what went wrong. I will look into the problem and respond as soon as reasonably possible.
